While many traditional events have been canceled this year due to the need for social distancing, the 6th Annual Christmas Lighting Challenge is still on. Registration for the annual home and business decoration challenge is open as of Oct. 20, and will remain open until Dec. 10.
The contest is free to enter for anyone in Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Voting is done by the community for both homes and businesses beginning Nov. 21. Winners in each city — Duluth, Superior, Cloquet and Hermantown — will receive a gift basket with prizes and gift carts from local retailers and an award.
Voting ends on Dec. 20. Results will be released Dec. 21.
