Taste at Fitger’s food and beverage tasting fundraiser is from 6-9 p.m. Friday in Fitger’s Complex, 600 E. Superior St., Duluth. There will be entrees, desserts, wines, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages and a silent auction. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased by calling (218) 722-8826 or visiting Proceeds benefit Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank.

A team of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Ashland students earned third place and won $1,000 during the Interprofessional Healthcare Case Competition in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. The team members are Megan Colberg of Cornucopia (right) and Della Thompson of Ashland and the Bad River Tribe. Colberg is pursuing an associate degree in nursing and Thompson is studying a double-major in gerontology and aging services.
