Larry and Karen Slater’s 50th Anniversary

Married May 23, 1970, Larry and Karen Slater, of Moose Lake, are celebrating 50 years of wedded bliss. Farm boy and city girl, they fell in love one summer in Cloquet. Larry and Karen are parents to two sons, Brady Slater (Jana Peterson), of Cloquet, and Ryan Slater (Rafael Sanchez), of Los Angeles, California. Their three grandchildren are Frances, Henry and Jack Slater of Cloquet. In lieu of a party, the couple bought themselves a side-by-side ATV.
