Essentia Health welcomes Dr. Tyler Larson

Essentia Health is excited to welcome Dr. Tyler Larson, an orthopedic surgeon, to its team.

“I decided to work at Essentia after hearing excellent things about it from friends and family who have worked here over the years,” Dr. Larson said. “Also, we enjoy spending time in northern Minnesota, so the location was a big plus.”

Dr. Larson earned a medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, N.D. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Medicine in Omaha, Neb., and a fellowship in arthroplasty at Indiana University Health Saxony Hospital in Fishers, Ind.

“I chose ortho because of the positive impact I could have on people’s lives working in this specialty,” Dr. Larson said. “I subspecialized in hip and knee replacement because I enjoy helping patients maintain their mobility and active lifestyle. This is critical to their overall health and is very rewarding.”
