Essentia Health welcomes Dr. Luke Law

Dr. Luke Law, who specializes in physiatry and pain medicine, is welcoming new patients at the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic.

“The reason I am drawn to medicine is because I am able to make a positive difference in people’s lives, just like a surgeon and anesthesiologist made in mine,” Dr. Law explained of a serious skiing accident that left him with a broken leg at the age of 13. “I want to give this experience back to others and pay forward what they did for me.”

Dr. Law earned a medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colo. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester and a fellowship in pain management at Harvard (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) in Boston. Dr. Law is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

“I chose pain medicine because it’s a specialty where I get to help people feel better and get back to the activities they love,” he said. “I truly enjoy being able to see the positive impact and the ability to develop relationships with my patients. It’s a true honor to be able to serve others.”
