Mikayla and Malia first met at Eagle's Nest at North Star Academy, where Mikayla worked and Malia was a student. The two became close and created a bond, and decided to hang out and start a friendship outside of Eagle's Nest when Mikayla started working at a different school.

Whether they're going to Spirit Mountain, looking for sea glass or wandering around the mall, they make anything they do an adventure and love to explore.

Thanks to Malia, Mikayla has gotten into crafting and do-it-yourself projects. Before meeting Mikayla, Malia never looked for Lake Superior sea glass, but now it's something she looks forward to and has started her own collection.

The two agree their most memorable moment together was one of their first outings. They went to Pottery Burn and spent hours perfecting and painting a work of art. They got to talk and work at the same time, which created an even stronger friendship.

Mikayla and Malia love to take pictures together and are working on scrapbooks as gifts for each other to reflect on their memories.
