Mentor Duluth matches caring adults with children who can benefit from positive role models.
Sierra, 12
Sierra is a reflective, thoughtful, introvert who always advocates for the underdog. Her mom says she's a really nice kid who's very sensitive and empathetic but also clever and funny. Sierra really loves animals, and it's essential her mentor does, too. She imagines that she and her mentor will go places - such as Jay Cooke State Park or North Dakota - and take photographs.
Sierra really enjoys when she's at home making music videos with her friends, sliding down the rocks in Kingsbury Creek and walking her dog and hamster. Yes, she walks her hamster, too.
Something she's never tried, but would like to, is paddleboarding.

Because of Sierra's love for animals, she hopes to be a vet when she grows up, but she is also interested in being a cosmetologist.
Sierra says her ideal mentor is someone who's funny, loves animals and likes to have adventures. Her mom would like to see her matched with someone who is positive and encouraging but who has been through some hardships in life and can have empathy for others' struggles.
