Kozlowski Best Choice for House District 8B

As someone who has seen many candidates come and go for a variety of public offices over the years, I take great pride in personally endorsing and recommending Alicia Kozlowski for House District 8B.  Why Alicia?  Alicia is a first generation college student. Alicia graduated with a MBA/Master’s in Business Administration. Alicia has the skills needed to be an effective legislator. As a member of two organizations that I have a great deal of respect for, Women Winning and the Northeastern MN DFL Senior Caucus, I support a candidate that has received their endorsements following a rigorous screening process.  Serving as the Community Relations Officer for the City of Duluth, Alicia has demonstrated the ability to work with a variety of people in grassroots, non-profit, public and private sector organizations.  Alicia is committed to working to protect what is important to me: reproductive rights, clean water, affordable housing and healthcare for all.  Additionally, strong unions and fully-funded public education.  Alicia has a deep history of advocating at the local, state, and national levels for justice.  Alicia was born and raised in Duluth, the child of a Mexican father and Ojibwe mother.  While at times life has not been easy, Alicia pursued a graduate degree and demonstrates a commitment to making their community a better place to live and work.  Receiving the DFL endorsement with 72% of the delegates shows the strength of Alicia’s campaign and ability to win in November.  But before then, we must get out and vote in the primary on Tuesday, August 9th.  Be sure to mark your calendars!
