Paid Political Letter: Ben DeNucci for Minnesota Senate

A healthy region requires a strong partnership between the private, public, and philanthropic sectors. It is not often voters have an opportunity to elect a leader who has committed significant time and resources serving in all three capacities. As a former regional economic developer, I had the privilege and was extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with Ben DeNucci, a candidate for the Iron Range’s MN Senate District 7. Ben somehow finds the time and energy to maintain and grow his entrepreneurial businesses, contribute his extensive leadership experience as an Itasca County commissioner, and serve his fellow citizens on numerous nonprofit boards and as a volunteer first responder and firefighter.

There has never been a more critical time to send a seasoned, collaborative, committed leader to St. Paul to represent our region. I know first-hand that Ben uses a listening approach and common sense to build consensus and address serious challenges facing our communities. He has gained the respect of a vast network of leaders and partners and brings people together to solve problems. Ben will use his vast experience to build relationships with other Senators, agency officials and key stakeholders who are working to move our state forward. He is a proven supporter of unions and responsible industries working together to create well-paying jobs while protecting the environment.

Ben epitomizes the qualities we need in our elected leaders to help our region thrive, to provide critical services and strengthen our education systems, and sustain the businesses and industries that are the lifeblood of our communities. If you have a passion for this region, I encourage you to cast your vote in the primary for Ben.

Don’t wait, vote now through early in person or Mail-in ballots or on August 9th at your polling location.
