A PLEA FOR HONESTY, DECENCY, AND SANITY
This letter is paid content. The fourth year of the presidential election cycle is once again upon us and no other election in memory compares to this one. It is not an election about politics, rather an election about character. A recent poll of those voting for Biden found that 54% were voting against Trump verses voting for Biden. Why?
Have you ever seen a presidential election where the incumbent president’s own party leaders formed a national campaign to defeat him? No, you have not.
Have you ever seen a president that has more charged and convicted top aides than in Trump’s administration? No, you have not.
Have you ever seen where several top presidential appointees have verbally expressed grave concern that the incumbent has serious mental deficiencies as has many of Trump’s former aides? No, you have not.
Have you ever seen a president in a live, nationally broadcast speech mock a handicapped reporter as Trump did? No, you have not.
Have you ever seen a president denigrate and use childish name calling against anyone, Democrat or Republican alike, who dared to disagree with him as has Trump? No, you have not.
Have you ever seen a president who is not interested in reading his daily intelligence report or makes decisions based on his “gut feelings” as has Trump? No, you have not.
Have you ever seen a president that has told, and been fact checked, on telling over 20,000 lies as has Trump? No, you have not.
Have you ever seen a president that because of his incompetence, over 180,000 American lives were lost in a pandemic? No, you have not.
Have you ever seen a president who’s campaign of law and order ignores the Hatch Act, Emolument Clause, and refuse to release his taxes until Trump? No, you have not.
These are not political differences. They speak of debilitating character defects.
On the local level, do you really want to vote for anyone that supports these characteristics?
