Notice is hereby given that the St. Louis County Board of Adjustment will conduct a virtual public hearing on Thursday, May 13, 2021, beginning at 10:45 AM.
1.Appeal for relief from St. Louis County Zoning Ordinance 62, Article III, Section 3.7, to allow an accessory structure to be located at a reduced road centerline setback where 48 feet is required and a reduced road right-of-way setback where 15 feet is required. WLY 539.71 FT OF SE1/4 OF SW1/4 LYING S OF CENTERLINE OF DUNCAN RD EX WLY 33 FT, S22, T51N, R16W (Grand Lake). 10:45 AM
2.Appeal for relief from St. Louis County Zoning Ordinance 62, Article IV, Section 4.3 D, to allow an addition to a nonconforming principal structure located within the shore impact zone that exceeds 200 square feet. S 300 FT OF N 920 FT OF GOVT LOT 3, S14, T66N, R19W (Camp Five). 11:05 AM
3.Appeal per St. Louis County Zoning Ordinance 62, Article 8.6 of the denial of a commercial use within the shoreline setback. Part of Gov't Lot 1 and the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4, S31, T51 N, R15W (Canosia). 11:25 AM
All meetings of the St. Louis County Board of Adjustment are closed to public attendance until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the declared emergency. Board of Adjustment meetings will now be held in a virtual format. All meetings will be live streamed via WebEx, giving the public the opportunity to watch and listen, and even speak to the Board of Adjustment. Please also have the option to listen to the meeting live via telephone. These options have been made viable by Minnesota Statutes 13D.021 due to it not being feasible to have Board of Adjustment members, staff, and/or members of the public present at the regular meeting location.
Some or all members of the St. Louis County Board of Adjustment will attend the meeting by telephone or other electronic means. Citizens can submit public comments relating to the public hearing using one of the following three methods:
1.Preferred method: Email your comments to Jenny Bourbonais, St. Louis County Land Use Manager, at bourbonaisj@stlouiscoun tymn.gov. Emails must be received by noon on Monday, May 10, 2021 in order to be presented to the Board of Adjustment and viewed online.
2.Mail your comments to one of the St. Louis County Government Services address (located in Duluth or Virginia). Your comments must be received in the mail by Monday, May 10, 2021, in order to be presented to the Board of Adjustment and viewed online.
