NOTICE OF FILING FOR THE 2019 SPECIAL ELECTION
ST. LOUIS COUNTY COMMISSIONER - DISTRICT 5
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MINNESOTA

Notice is hereby given that due to a vacancy in office, filing for the Office of St. Louis County Commissioner District 5 will begin at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019, and close at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
Filings will be accepted in the Office of the St. Louis County Auditor, 100 North 5th Avenue West, Room 214, Duluth, MN, 55802. Candidates may file in person or by mail. Candidates who will be absent from the state during the filing period may arrange to file in person during the seven days immediately preceding the candidate's absence from the state, pursuant to Minnesota Statute, 204B.09, subdivision 1a.
A Special Primary Election will be required if three (3) or more candidates file for the open seat. If NO Special Primary Election is needed, the Special General Election will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. If a Special Primary Election is needed, the Special Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 and the Special General Election will take place on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.

St. Louis County Commissioner District 5 - term expiring 1/4/2021. To be voted upon by the registered voters of the following precincts: Brevator Township, Canosia Township, Duluth Township, Gnesen Township, City of Hermantown, Lakewood Township, Midway Township, City of Proctor, City of Rice Lake, and Solway Township.
