Lake Superior fish make fine Glensheen cuisine

Regional chefs will serve up their original fish recipes at the fourth annual Lake Superior Fish Classic on Wednesday, Sept. 24 on the grounds of Glensheen Historic Estate. The public will vote for its favorite during this salute to sustainable fisheries. The winner of the People’s Choice award will be selected that evening. A panel of professional judges will also select their best.

Participating restaurants include At Sara’s Table, Duluth Grill and Restaurant 301 from Duluth; Fitzgerald’s from Eagle River, Mich.; The Landmark Inn from Marquette, Mich.; Ledge Rock Grille from Larsmont, Minn.; The Oceanaire Seafood Room from Minneapolis; and Old Rittenhouse Inn from Bayfield, Wis.

Fish tasting and voting begin at 5:30 p.m. Then attendees may wander the autumn gardens, sample craft beer and fine wine, visit with vendors and enjoy local musicians.
