  • Four new federal prohibition agents will be added to the Superior office after July 1, according to George Irhig, chief of the Prohibition Department in western Wisconsin. That will bring the number of agents in the Superior office to 10.
  • The practice of dumping garbage on the lake and bay sides of Park Point is becoming a menace to public health, Duluth Health Department officials said yesterday. Property owners are being told to stop the dumping and to clean up their land.
  • R.S. Patrick of Northland Country Club will compete later this month in the Minnesota State Amateur Golf Tournament at the Town and Country Club in St. Paul. Mr. Patrick won the championship in 1914 when it was held at Northland.
  • Duluth's American Legion Band is seeking the contract to furnish music in the city's parks this summer, Russell Mather of the American Legion said last night. Mr. Mather said band members are producing a better quality of music than they did last year.
