  • The announcement yesterday of the appointment of Chris Jensen as superintendent of the St. Louis County Poor Farm was made by the county Poor Commission. Mr. Jensen was formerly the head of the Lake County Poor Farm in Two Harbors.
  • One hundred Duluth Rotarians will leave town this Sunday on the Lake Superior Special, a train that will carry them to the district Rotary Convention in Fargo, North Dakota. The Duluth delegates are determined to get a commitment to hold next year's convention in the Zenith City.
  • More than 2,000 tickets have been sold for the third annual Duluth Firemen's Ball to be held at the new Armory April 1. Several attractive features will be installed, including an electric spotlight system with lights of different colors.
  • Larger quarters are needed for the Duluth Commercial Club due to an increase in membership and an expansion of activities in the past year. The new Department of Conventions and Publicity and the Tourist Bureau are both in need of additional space.
