A handful of Hermantown police officers took a break from their executive duties earlier this month to bring 20 Hermantown area students Christmas shopping at the Hermantown Wal-Mart. Shop with a Cop, an annual event sponsored by Bernick's Cos., allows police officers to bond with young people while finding holiday gifts for their loved ones. Each child was given a $50 gift card to Wal-Mart.
