Residents and staff at Chris Jensen Health & Rehabilitation Center raised a new, giant American flag on Wednesday, Patriot's Day.
The flag measures 6 feet by 9 feet.
"It's a beauty," said Brenda Glonek, director of activities and volunteers, "and Sept. 11th is an important day for us all to remember."
The money for the new flagpole and flag was donated by the American Legion. Residents and staff listened to a recording of the National Anthem and also said the Pledge of Allegiance.
Glonek said proper flag protocol was followed, with the flag first being raised to the top of the pole and slowly lowered down, since the flags were to be at half-staff.
