Hillside Farmers Market in Duluth will return this summer through a partnership with Community Action Duluth's Seeds of Success program and Essentia Health.

The market, which offers heathy options like produce, plants, baked and canned goods, meat and more from local vendors, will be 2-5 p.m. every Tuesday beginning June 15 in Essentia Health's downtown campus parking lot between Fifth and Sixth avenues east. The market will run through Sept. 28.

Attendees are asked to follow current COVID-19 prevention guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Minnesota Department of Health. Hand-washing stations, masks and gloves will be available on-site.

SNAP customers will have their spending matched one-to-one for up to $15 per market day when using at EBT card. In addition, any children under age 18 receive $4 worth of tokens to spend on produce through the Power of Produce Club.

On June 15, an opening-day celebration will include a live demonstration by a chef, free reusable bags and recipe cards. There will be sign-ups for Power of Produce Club and Community Supported Agriculture distribution.
