Tribute Fest, a three-day event at Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park featuring tribute bands, was canceled Monday.

Organizers posted a statement on Facebook on Monday saying "with the restrictions regarding crowd size for Bayfront Park we will not be able to provide entertainment for our event at the end of August 2020."

Restrictions released June 10 restrict outdoor entertainment venues to 25% capacity, not to exceed 250 people total. Tribute Fest was scheduled for Aug. 26-28.

"We have waited to the bitter end hoping that the crowd restrictions would ease up but that is not going to happen," the statement said.

Tickets already purchased will be good for next year's Tribute Fest. To obtain a refund, immediately return tickets to Campbell Productions, 23 W. Oxford St., Duluth, MN 55803.
