Duluth's Brewery Creek housing project to receive $1 million grant

The funding will help bring 52 units of affordable housing to the city.

One Roof Community Housing and North Shore Bank announced Tuesday the Brewery Creek housing development will be awarded a $1 million Competitive Affordable Housing Program grant through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines.

The new 52-unit apartment building to be located at the northeast corner of Sixth Avenue East and Fourth Street will include 26 units for homeless young people and 10 units designated for members of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
