There is a monster in Duluth Heights -- a veritable ice monster (!) -- lurking in the woods just off the unpaved portion of East Orange Street.
"Standing" around 20 to 30 feet tall, this monstrosity, which is the result of a water-spewing hose coming out of a manhole next to the quiet thoroughfare, is easy to spot.
Revelers have been monitoring its growth, watching as it snakes up a number of unfortunate trees, for some weeks now. (A special thanks to the tipster at the Electric Fetus who suggested I go check it out before it was too late.)
While photographs really don't even begin to do justice to this peculiar scene, I thought it best to document this strange phenomenon for our online readers who maybe don't have access to anything more than ... normal ice formations.
