The cement steps of City Hall on a cold Christmas Eve Day seem an unlikely place to find warmth and community. Yet, that is just what one will find this December the 24th at 12 noon. Sandwiched in between the darkest night of the year and birth of a hope-filled New Year is where you find the annual CHUM Christmas Vigil. Duluth citizens gather to find warmth as we remember all those without a place to call home. This is a time to honor those who have died in the last year having experienced homelessness. Amidst the silent moments of remembrance there is also a clear presence of hope. The Vigil is not only a time to remember the homeless in our community but also a time for Duluth to be moved forward. Through this special time together, every Christmas Eve, we are reminded not only of the hardships of the year passed but also of the hope of a new year.

Please join us at the vigil.

Monetary donations or donations of LARGE & X-Large adult jackets, warm hats & mittens (not knitted), and new socks would be greatly appreciated.

"Let us make room this Christmas season....room in our hearts, and in our community, for those who have nowhere to call home for the holidays."
