- Herbert Warren, general manager of the Duluth Street Railway Company, said yesterday daily inspections of the Seventh Avenue West Incline Railway are being done to guarantee its safety. Several residents have questioned the incline's safety because it operates with only a single cable.
- Charles C. Stewart and John J. Bohmer were found guilty yesterday by a Superior jury of robbing the Superior State Bank on Nov. 16. A third man, Herbert Ryan, had earlier pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 years at hard labor.
- The U.S. Navy has granted an additional cruiser for use as a training ship to the Duluth District of the Naval Reserve and Naval Militia. The Essex, the cruiser currently stationed here as a training ship, will continue to operate.
- An election at the Duluth Board of Trade yesterday resulted in the choice by acclamation of H.F. Salyards for president and G.H. Spencer for vice-president. Mr. Salyards succeeds B. Stockman, who has served as president during the last two years.
