- Duluthians celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday in a quiet way with turkey dinners, religious services, and visiting in keeping with the spirit of the day. Charities and churches cared for 200 poor families, and inmates of city and county institutions were entertained by visitors.
- Four bids to remodel the building at First Street and Sixth Avenue West in Duluth into a post office branch have been sent to the Treasury Department in Washington. The current tenants will be vacating the building in five days.
- The honor of buying the first ticket for the opening show of the new Doric Theater in West Duluth yesterday went to a young newsboy. The film shown for the opening was "A Daughter of Two Worlds," starring Norma Talmadge.
- The Salvation Army's little red kettles for collecting donations for the needy will make their first appearance of the season in Duluth tomorrow. The kettles will be placed at the First National Bank, Exchange National Bank, Glass Block, Woolworth's, and Grey's Store.
