The HOTDISH Militia will have a hot dish bake off Saturday to raise money to support abortion rights.
Judges will determine winners in four categories: Lutheran ladies (green bean casserole, tater tot hotdish, etc.), vegetarian, global flavors and dessert.
The event will be from 5-7:30 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ, 1111 N. 11th Ave. E. Live music will be provided by the Low Standards String Band and bread from Liberation Bakery.
Suggested donation is $15, or $10 with hotdish. Those who wish to enter are asked to register at hotdishmilitia.org/bake-off-2018.
HOTDISH is an acronym for Hand Over The Decision It Should be Hers, and proceeds from the event will support the group’s work, including abortions at the Women’s Health Center of Duluth.
