Minnesota Duluth defeated Bemidji State in three sets in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match on Tuesday.
UMD won 25-17, 26-24, 26-24 and improved to 15-2 overall and 8-1 in the NSIC.
UMD, ranked No. 7 in this week’s AVCA NCAA Division II poll, hit at a .181 clip while limiting the Beavers to a .095. The Bulldogs had 40 kills to BSU’s 28.
Sophomore middle blocker Summer Ballard had nine kills and a block, and junior outside hitter Kate Berg had 10 kills, seven digs and three assists. Senior setter Emily Balts had 33 assists, three kills and an ace. Senior right side hitter Hanna Meyer had five kills and three blocks, and senior middle blocker Abby Thor hit .571 and finished with nine kills and four blocks.
The Bulldogs plays next at Wayne State on Friday.
