DULUTH — The temperatures didn’t even reach freezing, but that didn’t stop the Minnesota Duluth football team from taking to the field Monday at Malosky Stadium.

The field had been cleared of the snow covering, but piles remained at the edges at the Bulldogs took to their home field for the first time since they left for their NCAA Division II playoff game against Angelo State Nov. 20 in San Angelo, Texas.

UMD is coming off a 9-3 season. The Bulldogs captured their 21st NSIC title and made their 12th NCAA Division II playoff appearance.
