Downtown Duluth fitness center Zstudio is changing its name and moving down the street.

Later this winter, Ignite Studio will move into the corner of Superior Street and Second Avenue West, bringing classes to the Holiday Center skywalk.

“For the record the name change is not going to change who we are,” the company said in an email to customers. “We will still be loud. We will still be a judgment-free zone. We will continue to make you feel good about yourself no matter what.  And we will still make you giggle as you jiggle.”

Zstudio was founded more than five years ago to focus on Zumba, a brand of dance fitness, but has expanded its offerings to include other fitness classes.

“While Zumba is still the cornerstone of what we do, we now offer classes including Zshred, Zmix, Buti Yoga, Dancer’s Body and so on,” the company wrote.

Ignite Studio will include those classes, possibly under new names, and start offering aerial yoga, personal training and barre method classes as well.

Pricing will increase, though those with memberships by Dec. 31 will get discounts at the new studio.

The company hopes to move into its new 207 W. Superior St. location by Feb. 1 or possibly earlier, and it will offer free classes for members the first week, and free classes to everyone the second week.

“The good news is that we could open our doors earlier depending on how construction and inspections go,” the company wrote. “We will need to wait on the city for the inspections as well as our Certificate of Occupancy so the timing for those items are out of our hands.”

More information on changes to class names and times will be released in January and can be found at zstudioduluth.com.

Zstudio’s current location at 115 W. First St. is for rent.
