The Duluth Transit Authority announced a couple route changes Wednesday.

Routes 18 and 23 are returning to service. These routes provide access to the University of Minnesota Duluth and the College of St. Scholastica campuses.

Routes 4 and 15 around Park Point will be paused until further notice. There is still access to and from Park Point via Dial-a-Ride. The DTA cited "current staffing realities" as the reason for the change in the release.

Effective Sept. 7, the DTA will return to front-door boarding on all buses. Buses now have barriers installed in the front of the buses to protect drivers and passengers. The switch to front boarding is the first phase in a return to traditional boarding and fare collection. The fare collection return date is expected to be announced in the next week.
