The Duluth Transit Authority will host its inaugural “Transit Tunes” live-music performance at the downtown Duluth Transportation Center from 4-6 p.m. Friday. The event is free and open to the public, and will be the first in a series of live music performances at the center.

“This is a way to thank our passengers and showcase local talent at the (Duluth Transportation Center),” DTA General Manager Phil Pumphrey said.

Corey McCauley will be the first to perform on Friday, followed on subsequent Fridays throughout April by Kyle Ollah and Friends on April 12, Aurora Baer on April 19, and Sonofmel, also known as John Adler, on April 26.

The center is located at 228 W. Michigan St.

“The DTA encourages citizens from across the Twin Ports to come and listen to some great ‘Transit Tunes’ while exploring the state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2016 and features amenities for everyone in the community,” the DTA said in a news release on Wednesday.
