Open meetings for ‘can of worms’ scheduled

Two public meetings on Monday at Clyde Iron Works in Lincoln Park will address the upcoming Twin Ports Interchange reconstruction project, said a Minnesota Department of Transportation news release on Tuesday.

The estimated $205 million project is in the planning stage with construction expected to begin in 2019.

The meetings will provide the public an opportunity to ask questions and get the latest updates about the proposed project to rebuild and modernize the current infrastructure at the Interstate 35, Interstate 535, U.S. Highway 53 interchange, commonly known locally as “the can of worms.”

Two identical sessions will be held:

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (presentation at 11:45 a.m.)

6-7 p.m. (presentation at 6:15 p.m.)
