Telemark resort is closing after delays in a proposed sale.
Last month, members of the Telemark Interval Owners Association approved the sale of their lodge in Cable, Wis., to Telemark Partners LLC. But the buyers have been unable to meet deadlines to deposit earnest money, confirm purchase price financing, set a reasonable closing date or provide funding for continued operations, according to the owners association.
Telemark Lodge will close at midnight May 5. The closure includes hotel operations, the restaurant and the lounge. Scaled-down operations will continue in the Christian Villas and Telemark Pointe condominiums for owners association members and guests.
"After our exhaustive efforts to move the sale forward, we are truly disappointed in the outcome," the association's board president, Gary Grandall, said in a news release. "We will continue sale talks with Telemark Partners and with other previously received sales leads in the hope of finding a compatible and qualified buyer."
