All Interstate 35 lanes and ramps in Duluth were reopened as of Friday afternoon after a second season of work on the I-35 Mega Project completed the bulk of the project's major construction.
Remaining work on the Mega Project will be completed next spring and includes installation of median barrier, bridge painting and deck repair on the ramp from northbound I-535 to northbound I-35. This work will require a three-week lane closure on I-35 and closure and detour of the ramp.
In an unrelated project, the Interstate 535 ramp to northbound I-35 will close between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday while crews perform a scheduled inspection of the ramp and bridge.
