A sushi restaurant that opened in Superior earlier this year will debut its second local spot after Thanksgiving in downtown Duluth.

According to its Facebook page, Wasabi Japanese Cuisine will feature all-you-can-eat sushi and/or an ala carte option at 132 E. Superior St. - like in its other restaurant. It opens at 2 p.m. Friday, according to its outgoing voicemail message.

Hours will be 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday and noon-9:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Duluth-based restaurant is in the renovated Old City Hall building, which originally opened in 2011 as Tycoons Zenith Alehouse. It later became the Blind Pig and, most recently, Sound - which closed mid-summer.

The restaurant is focusing on its poke bowl, with options of base rice, protein, mix-ins, sauce and toppings. It also has the same appetizer and sushi menu as in Superior.
