Super One Foods is expanding its store in the Lakeside neighborhood of Duluth.
The grocery store at 5928 E. Superior St. will increase its size by about 25 percent to more than 25,000 square feet by this winter, said Bruce Anderson, the staff attorney for Miner's Inc., which owns the store. The store also is currently undergoing an expansion of the parking lot that will be completed in July, Anderson said.
"That neighborhood deserves a good store," Anderson said. "At less than 20,000 [square feet], it's one of the smaller Super One stores. We would like to expand it."
Anderson said expansion would not bring new departments to the store, but would allow the store to offer goods and services that are currently not available due to the lack of space.
