Work at Stebner and Maple Grove Roads in Hermantown is progressing on schedule, and construction should allow the intersection to be reopened to traffic by Sept. 9.
The area is expected to be paved later this week, with the final surface work completed next week, according to David Salo, Hermantown city engineer. The project is being built by Northland Constructors.
Work will continue after the roads are opened to traffic, however, and motorists are urged to use caution. Traffic signals are expected to be installed in November to finish the job.
