Workers at Whole Foods Co-op in Duluth voted in favor of ratifying their first union contract.

The vote of 67-1 to unionize at both the Denfeld and Hillside store locations was a year in the making, the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1189 announced.

“Good things sometimes take time and this contract was no exception. The union committee and the employer took the time necessary to make sure that they built an agreement that worked for everybody,” UFCW said in a statement.
