The Mesabi Miner is one of four expected arrivals in the Twin Ports today, coming in this morning to load coal. The self-unloading bulk carrier was launched Feb. 14, 1977, and was the fourth of 13 1,000-footers built for various American flag carriers on the Great Lakes. It's shown here leaving the Duluth piers in December.
