St. Clair, Indiana Habor
The St. Clair unloads coal from its hull onto the Indiana Harbor in May 2001 while docked at the Public Marine Terminal. The St. Clair left Duluth the day before but returned with a 20-foot gash in the starboard side that had to be repaired. Built primarily to deliver coal from Superior's Midwest Energy Terminal to Detroit Edison's Belle River Power Plant near St. Clair, Mich., the St. Clair is expected to arrive in Duluth this evening to load iron ore pellets.
