The last saltie of the season is expected to leave the Twin Ports around 8 p.m. today.

The BBC Italy arrived at Duluth's Clure Public Marine Terminal on Sunday morning to discharge wind turbine components from Denmark and Spain. It then moved to Superior to load flax for Ghent, Belgium.

The Italy is one of 140 multipurpose heavy lift vessels owned by BBC Charter. Each shallow-draft vessel in the fleet is capable or delivering a range of cargo to a large number of ports.

"Last Saltie of the Season" scheduled to depart Duluth-Superior tonight.
