The keepers of Zeitgeist Arts Cafe, which closed in August 2020 because of the pandemic, are looking to food-minded folks to shape the direction of the space at 222 E. Superior St.
The request for proposals is open to anyone who has ideas on how to shape the future of the café, according to a news release: general managers, executive chefs, business owners. There is also a survey geared toward community members. Go to zeitgeistarts.com/restaurants.
After the restaurant closed, Gumbo Boi with its Louisiana-themed options and HotBox Duluth, with its playful variation of the shag-carpeted basement eats of childhood, popped up on the space on alternating days.
