Taco Arcada, the taco restaurant and arcade in Lincoln Park that opened earlier this year, announced on Facebook that Saturday would be its last day in business.
The restaurant is owned by Tom Hanson and closed the day before Hanson's cocktail lounge called Noble Pour was scheduled to open. Taco Arcada opened in May.
Taco Arcada is located at 1902 W. Superior St., next to Corktown Deli & Brews and across the street from OMC Smokehouse, both Hanson family businesses that joined the scene after the family's success with their first restaurant, Duluth Grill.
Hanson told WDIO-TV that Taco Arcada was financially viable, but that it was too difficult to manage next door to Corktown Deli. Orders placed at Taco Arcada were prepared in the Corktown kitchen.
The post on the restaurant's Facebook page said: "Again thank you for your support and to our awesome staff for all the fun times."
Hanson said there will be a new tenant in the space.
