The Duluth Transit Authority will provide limited bus service on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27.
Regular routes and STRIDE bus service will be suspended, but DTA drivers and staff will volunteer their time to help shuttle dinner guests in Duluth and Superior to the free Thanksgiving dinner at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. All DTA shuttle services to and from the DECC are free and open to the public.
Buses will run from 10:40 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. along Grand Avenue and Superior Street from 57th Avenue West to 24th Avenue East, boarding passengers at all bus stops along the route.
The DTA also will provide direct shuttle service to the DECC from the following locations in Duluth and Superior: CHUM Drop-in Center, Damiano Center, YWCA, Morgan Park Manor, Solid Rock Mission, Clifford Lund, Royalton Manor, Peter Rich Center and the Superior center-city bus stop at 14th Street and Tower Avenue. Shuttle schedules will be posted at these locations.
Regular DTA service will resume on Nov. 28 with additional bus service that day to the Miller Hill Mall area.
