Power restored to 1,200 Duluth homes and businesses

About 1,200 Duluth and Hermantown customers were without power for part of tonight after two feeder lines went down, said Minnesota Power spokesman Steve Kinney.

About 1,200 Duluth and Hermantown customers were without power for part of tonight after two feeder lines went down, said Minnesota Power spokesman Steve Kinney.

The power outage lasted from 5:50 p.m. until 6:16 for one portion of the residents and until 6:34 for the rest.

Kinney said the outage originated in the Island Lake area and the cause wasn't known.

The outage ranged from Jean Duluth Road in the Woodland neighborhood west to Hermantown.
