A restaurant location in Superior will be changing hands this spring.
Pak’s Green Corner, a Thai fusion restaurant formerly located on Grand Avenue in West Duluth, will take over the current location of Kenny Wong’s at 1901 Tower Ave. in Superior after Kenny Wong retires. The last day of business for Kenny Wong’s is May 12. The restaurant will open as Pak’s Green Corner on June 1, Wong announced on Facebook.
“We want to express our gratitude for your patronage all these years, you have been the best customers to serve and we truly mean this. … Even though you are losing us, you are gaining another top chef with quality food and we hope you will support her as you have us,” Wong wrote.
Pak’s Green Corner owner Kamolpak Williams closed her popular restaurant in West Duluth in 2014, after two years of operation, to spend more time with her husband and daughter. The restaurant featured an eclectic menu of Thai cuisine mixed with food from other cultures and was featured on an episode of Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” on the Food Network about a month before closing in 2014.
