St. Louis County Public Works crews began replacing more than a dozen culverts Monday along two roads in Clinton and Fayal townships.
County Road 776 (Old Mesabe Road) will be temporarily closed from east of County Road 7 to where it becomes County Road 329 (Peary Road). County Road 329 is closed from this point south to Minnesota Highway 37. The road closures will be in effect during daytime hours while work is being done. The roads will be open during evening and weekend hours.
The project is expected to take about three weeks to complete. Motorists can avoid the work zone by using County Road 7 and Minnesota Highway 37.
