Two used bookstores recently opened in the Endion neighborhood of Duluth.
Lakewalk Bookshop, which is upstairs from Art of Hair at 1427 London Road, and Chester Creek Books, in a former church at 1333 E. Superior St., provides another outlet for book lovers and those seeking an old classic.
"There is a wide variety of books, it's well organized and there is a huge nature section. It's a great little store," said Suzanne Wyss of Chester Creek Books, which is owned by Mark and Kay Kilen, who also operate Old Town Antiques and Books in downtown Duluth.
Lakewalk Bookshop will have a library that is 60 percent nonfiction -- with a focus on western and Americana -- 30 percent fiction and literature, and 10 percent miscellaneous such as cooking and philosophy, said owner Chris Casperson.
"Books are a passion for me, but Duluth hasn't had a really good bookshop in a while," Casperson said. "Duluth didn't have anything like this, and now they do."
