Lake Avenue Restaurant temporarily closed due to COVID-19-positive employee

The Duluth restaurant posted on social media that it will be closed to allow for cleaning and disinfecting.

One Canal Park restaurant is temporarily shutting its doors due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.

Lake Avenue Restaurant and Bar just opened up to 50% capacity indoors and outdoors June 24. The restaurant announced via a post on Facebook on Wednesday that an employee tested positive.

"We are focusing right now on ensuring that the rest of our employees get tested," the post said . "We continue to follow the cleaning and disinfecting guidelines of the (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and will update you when we have a plan to move forward."

According to the restaurant's outgoing voicemail message, there are plans to stay closed until July 10.
