September home sales for the Duluth area were little changed from a year ago.
September sales were down about 4 percent, with 168 properties closing, compared to 175 in September 2009, according to Edina Realty.
The average home sale price in the Duluth area also was down 4 percent, from $151,650 in September 2009 to about $145,600 last month, the Duluth Area Multiple Listing Service shows.
Meanwhile, the number of listings was up 13 percent from a year ago. For every home sold in September, 19 properties remained on the market, the data showed.
