The 24-Hour Fitness Express in Hermantown has closed its doors. Its memberships are being honored at Arrowhead Tennis and Athletic Center through July.
The health and fitness center located at 4879 Miller Trunk Highway closed suddenly June 30 and its workout equipment promptly moved out.
Three-year member Brett Groehler discovered the closure in recent days when he went there to work out.
"The doors were locked and the sign was down," he said in an e-mail to the News Tribune. "No warning, no letter, no phone call."
The owner couldn't be reached for comment.

The fitness center was located within blocks of competitor Anytime Fitness, which has several other locations in the Twin Ports area that are also open 24 hours. The 24 Hour Fitness Express had only one location.
The fitness center had approximately 400 members, former staff said.
